Table top frame is a vintage cast iron scale platform with the wording “PATENTED JAN 15 1870, HOWE SCALE CO. RUTLAND VT No 5 ”
I acquired this particular scale platform from the old Star Flour Mill in American Fork, Utah. The mill was recently acquired by a new owner and I was able to get this and a couple other items before much of the stuff was with sold off, or hauled away.
